STEP BY STEP COMMISSION PROCESS
1. Get in touch with me via the contact form below or my Instagram page, make sure to include what size portrait you'd like and the number of subjects to be included. I usually have around a 2 month waiting list, so please bear this in mind if you need the drawing by a specific date. If your enquiring on shorter notice, I will always try my best to meet your deadline so just get in touch for my availability. I will then ask for your reference photos if you haven't already sent them across to me.
2. Once a brief has been agreed, I ask for a 25% deposit sent via bank transfer which confirms your slot. I will ask if you'd like to receive progress photos of your drawing coming to life in real-time, this is completely optional. If you decide not to see progress photos I will only send you the final proof before packaging to ensure you are happy.
3. Once your portrait is complete I will send you a final proof and only once you've confirm you're happy, will I ask for the remaining payment balance, and start packaging up your drawing.
SIZES & PRICES
Additional sizes and extra subjects are available by quotation, please submit your requirements on the contact form below.
I can recommend the sizes based on your reference photos and what I think would work best for your needs. You could also consider what your drawing would look like in a frame as this may change your opinion on which option you pick.
REFERENCE PHOTOS
The reference photo I draw from is arguably the most important part of the process. For the best results I ask for a high quality, clear image, ideally in natural light, showing your pets face in the centre.
I normally use one main photo to draw from but a selection of photos in different lightings/ poses/ fur compositions always helps. I strive to capture the most likeness and detail as possible.
If you're unsure on which reference photo to pick - I can offer advice and work with you as the better the photo, the better the drawing. I do understand sometimes you may commission a drawing of your pet that's no longer with us, and in these instances I will always do my best and work with what photos you can provide.
PACKAGING
Your drawing will be packaged and mounted with a backing board ready for framing. It will be sealed in cellophane to protect your drawing in transit and presented with tissue paper. What else comes with my portrait? Artwork care slip, certificate of authenticity, hand written thank you note, business cards to share with your friends and family.
All my pet portraits are created with the highest quality materials to ensure your drawing will stand the test of time. And you might even be able to see your portrait featured on my social media page, I sometimes record short videos and log progress photos after the portrait has been gifted.

MEET THE ARTIST
I am Nichole a 24 year old artist, who specialises in creating realistic hand-drawn pencil portraits of your pets. I work part-time on your portraits, along side my full time marketing role.
I only started fulfilling custom commissions in 2024, and over the past year I have been lucky enough to draw so many of your beloved pets and even had the privilege of meeting a few along the way.
BEHIND THE DRAWING
My love of drawing started at a very young age and was massively influenced by my amazing parents. My mum grew up teaching me to draw Disney characters and my dad taught me realism and life-like sketches through his passions of trains and vehicles. I like to think I'm the perfect blend of both of them. I have been blessed to grow up surrounded by animals, and since the 1st of September 2024 I am a proud mummy to a toy cockapoo called Chilli!
